The Firefighters have closed Holy Week with 6 rescues in the natural environment in the regions of Girona, within a Catalan tally that amounts to 42 operations during the holidays. The Girona demarcation thus concentrated approximately one sixth of the total recorded in Catalonia.
La Garrotxa leads the interventions in Girona
The region of la Garrotxa was the one that accumulated the most services, with 2 rescues. The rest of the operations were distributed more dispersedly among other areas of the demarcation.

Fewer outings during the holidays
The emergency services attribute this decrease in rescues to two factors. On the one hand, the good weather during Holy Week. On the other hand, that part of the mountain activity has still concentrated in the ski resorts, a circumstance that has contributed to distributing the outings throughout Catalonia.
With this balance, Girona has maintained a contained activity in the natural environment during the holidays, with incidents distributed among five comarcas and with an assistance pressure lower than that of other periods of high influx to the mountain.
