The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested in Sarrià de Ter a 39-year-old man with a criminal record as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a farmhouse in the municipality. The action occurred after the alarm of the property went off around 10 in the morning on March 25.
Intercepted near the farmhouse
When a patrol was heading to the dwelling, the officers saw a man riding a bicycle on a dirt road in an isolated and little-traveled area. The suspect was carrying a plastic bag with electrical wiring and a backpack with tools.
In these circumstances, the Mossos stopped him, identified him and searched him. During the subsequent checks, the police confirmed that the material he was transporting came from the farmhouse in which the alarm had been activated.
Material stolen from the dwelling
Specifically, the agents verified that the electrical wiring and the copper pipes that the man was carrying had been stolen from inside the property. Once the origin of the objects was confirmed, they proceeded to his arrest as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force.
The police investigation also allowed to determine that access to the dwelling would have occurred through a first-floor balcony. The detainee was arrested after the Mossos verified the relationship between the recovered material and the affected farmhouse.
