The Girona Fairs will again install nineteen stalls in the La Copa esplanade between October 23 and November 1, but only fifteen spaces will be raffled among the admitted entities. The City Council has received twenty-six applications, five more than last year.

The increase in applications contrasts with the limited number of available places and has already left out two applicants before the draw. In addition, six other entities still need to complete their documentation if they want to maintain their option in a process that combines prior reservations, exclusions, and places pending validation.

Twenty-six applications compete for fifteen spaces in La Copa

The distribution starts from a fixed base of nineteen stalls. Fifteen will be awarded by lottery and the remaining four are reserved for associations from the University of Girona.

There are also two stalls reserved for group A. One is already secured for the joint application formed by the Associació Naturalistes de Girona and the Comissió Unitària 28 de juny.

For now, seventeen applications have submitted all the required documentation. Among them are AEIG Sant Narcís, Gerunda Futbol Club, and Club Esportiu Vòlei Girona.

Another six entities are still pending to complete paperwork in the coming weeks. In this situation are, among others, AAVV Germans Sàbat, Club d'Escacs Santa Eugènia, and Diables de l'Onyar.

The process has already discarded two applications. The Associació Esportiva Bàsquet Veterans Girona has been excluded because it is not registered in the Municipal Registry of Entities, while the Associació Comerços Girona Sud has been excluded for considering its profile incompatible with the requirement of being a non-profit or non-commercial entity.

The stalls will be open for eight days and closed two weeknights

The planned schedule sets the opening of the stalls for eight of the ten festival days. The venue will remain closed on Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27.

During the busiest days, the closing time will be until five in the morning on October 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, and 31. On October 25, the stalls must close at three in the morning.

In addition, on October 24, 25, 29, and 31, and November 1, they may also open at noon, between twelve and five in the afternoon, to host the concerts of La Copeta and Vermut Rock.

The bases state that the calendar may still change depending on the definitive programming. The schedule set for now places the closing at midnight on November 2.
