Twenty-two people have been reported by the Mossos d'Esquadra after being caught in allegedly illegal poker games at a restaurant in Sant Fruitós de Bages on the night of December 27. The establishment, which was closed to the public, was under police surveillance after receiving information about the possible holding of unauthorized gambling inside.

Around midnight, several patrols moved to the establishment in Sant Fruitós de Bages and observed suspicious movements of people entering and leaving while raising and lowering the shutter. The agents entered the restaurant and located three separate tables in the innermost area, each with between five and six people, playing poker using chips, cards, and gaming mats.
During the intervention, the Mossos seized **630 euros in cash** and confiscated all material related to the activity. Both the players and the alleged organizers were informed at the time that they were being reported for an infraction of the Catalan Gambling Law.
Economic Sanctions and the Sanctions Regime
The current sanctioning regime contemplates fines that can reach up to 30,000 euros for participants and up to 600,000 euros for the venue owner. The investigation is ongoing and the facts are under the supervision of the competent authorities.
