A group of 20 minors and four monitors from a youth center had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon in the area of Garbet, in Llançà, due to the strong wind associated with the storm. The incident occurred while the young people were carrying out an activity in this point of the municipality.
Given the situation, the 112 emergency service was activated and a joint operation was launched with the participation of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Local Police of Llançà. The operation allowed the group to be safely removed from the area and subsequently transferred to suitable accommodation.

The episode forced a quick intervention to guarantee the safety of the minors and their companions. The operation focused on ensuring the evacuation of the group and on facilitating their relocation once out of the area affected by the wind.
The Llançà City Council has highlighted the speed of the response and the coordination between the security and emergency forces, in addition to the collaboration of the services involved throughout the entire action.

Once the evacuation and transfer were completed, the situation was resolved. The council has not reported further impacts related to this incident in the Garbet area.
