The National Police has expelled seven foreign citizens with multiple offenses who were operating in the province of Girona, in an operation carried out in Santa Coloma de Farners, Banyoles, Olot, and Sant Hilari Sacalm. Six of them were transferred by plane to Morocco and the seventh to Gambia.

The group had accumulated 100 police and judicial records for various crimes. Despite this history, the expulsion was not carried out until the agents obtained the corresponding order and activated a device that concentrated the arrests and transfers to Madrid within a 72-hour period.

The seven expelled individuals had a total of 100 records in four municipalities in Girona

The Provincial Brigade of Immigration and Borders of Girona led the operation with the collaboration of the Mossos d'Esquadra and municipal police from the towns where the suspects resided or operated.

Among the affected municipalities are Santa Coloma de Farners, Banyoles, Olot, and Sant Hilari Sacalm. The National Police maintains that the expelled individuals had generated "great social alarm" in their residential areas, a factor that pushed forward the processing of their repatriation once the expulsion orders were issued.

The action focused on foreign citizens considered repeat offenders due to their accumulation of records. In total, the seven expelled individuals had accumulated 100 police and judicial records before their departure from the country was executed.

The National Police completed the arrests and transfer to Madrid within 72 hours

After the arrests, the agents transferred the seven detainees to Madrid to execute their boarding on flights to their countries of origin. The operation set a 72-hour timeframe to complete this phase.

Six of the expelled individuals traveled to Morocco and one to Gambia. The execution of the process required administrative coordination with courts, consulates, the Government delegation, and the Secretary of State for Security.

In addition to the police deployment, the operation required fitting in administrative and judicial procedures prior to repatriation. This coordination allowed the operation to conclude with the departure of all detainees on organized flights from Madrid.

The transfer to the capital and boarding towards Morocco and Gambia were completed within a 72-hour period from the arrest of the seven suspects.
