An alleged cyberattack has left exposed personal data of Florentino Pérez and Rafael del Pino on dark web forums, where the information would have remained published for weeks before being removed by the Police.
The leak affects the president of Real Madrid and ACS, as well as the president of Ferrovial. Among the compromised data are usernames, email addresses, physical addresses, dates of birth, and DNI numbers. Also included are vehicle models and data from the insurers linked to those affected.
The exposure reached several businessmen
In that same publication, personal information of Juan Abelló, owner of Torreal, has also been located. In his case, the disseminated data include his academic background, information about his home, the DNI, the insurance, and the vehicles.
The Police have proceeded with the deletion of the data, which remained accessible in those spaces of the hidden network for several weeks. The investigation remains open to determine the exact scope of the breach and the authorship of the dissemination.
The CNI tries to identify the responsible party
The CNI is now working to locate the person responsible for the leak. The same platform had already been used previously to disseminate data of the family of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and also of the Attorney General of the State, Teresa Peramato, in addition to her predecessors Dolores Delgado and María José Segarra.
The repeated appearance of sensitive information in that environment again places the focus on the exposure of personal data of top-level public and business profiles, while police and intelligence actions try to close the digital trail and clarify who is behind these publications.
