DNI, addresses and cars: this is how they exposed for weeks data of Florentino Pérez and Rafael del Pino

The publication of personal and patrimonial data of several businessmen and relatives of high-ranking state officials on dark web forums has activated an investigation to identify the person responsible for the leak. Among those affected are Florentino Pérez, president of ACS and Real Madrid C.F., and Rafael del Pino, president of Ferrovial, whose sensitive data came to be visible for weeks on portals like Doxbin before being removed by the Police.

The search for the author of these publications is in the hands of the CNI, which seeks to clarify the scope of the exposure and the origin of the information disseminated on the internet. The dissemination also affected other profiles of public and economic relevance.

Personal and patrimonial data exposed

In the case of Florentino Pérez and Rafael del Pino, the published information included email addresses, usernames, physical addresses, car models, ID numbers, insurer, date of birth and house door numbers. These are particularly sensitive data due to their level of detail and the possibility of being used for new criminal or harassment actions.

Information has also been disseminated about Juan Abelló, owner of the Torreal company. In his case, the leak contained data about his academic background, his home, his DNI, his insurance, and the vehicles linked to his personal environment.

Relatives of Pedro Sánchez also appear

The same offensive has reached the parents of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. The cybercriminals published DNI numbers and exact addresses of their private residences, which expands the dimension of the case beyond the business sphere and also places it in the realm of the security of people linked to State institutions.

The information was also uploaded to the same portal where data of the Attorney General of the State, Teresa Peramato, and of her predecessors Dolores Delgado and María José Segarra, had already appeared. That pattern reinforces the hypothesis of a continued action against people with high public exposure.

Author tracking and content removal

The data remained accessible for several weeks until the Police managed to remove them from those forums. The investigation remains open to determine who is behind the publication and how they obtained the information. As of this hour, no arrest related to the events has come to light.

The case once again puts the focus on the circulation of personal data in dark web environments and on the vulnerability of high-level profiles to mass exposure campaigns. While the tracking of the responsible party advances, investigators are working to limit the real impact of a leak that has affected businessmen, relatives of public officials, and former highest representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
