The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a man accused of homicide for the death of another in Sant Genís dels Agudells, in Barcelona, after the main suspect turned himself in this Tuesday morning at the police station.
The aggression occurred on the night of Saturday, April 18, in Meguidó square, in front of the Centre Cívic Casa Groga. The victim received a stab wound in the back with a bladed weapon during a fight in which several people participated.
The victim died after being evacuated to the hospital
After the aggression, the man was urgently transferred to a hospital center, but finally died as a result of his injuries. The investigation has since focused on clarifying the sequence of the fight and the role of each of those involved.
The arrested man, considered the main suspect, presented himself voluntarily this Tuesday morning at police facilities. The Mossos have arrested him and attribute to him an alleged crime of homicide.
The victim tried to mediate in the fight
In the neighborhood environment of Sant Genís dels Agudells, the death has caused commotion. The Associació de Veïns maintains that the victim approached the fight to try to stop it and that, at that moment, was attacked from behind.

The investigation remains open to fully clarify what happened that night in Meguidó square, a point very close to the Centre Cívic Casa Groga and known by the residents of the neighborhood.
