A 79-year-old man died on Sunday at 09:10 on the Camí de Rodants, in Les Garrigues, after the tractor with trailer he was driving overturned. The vehicle went off the road, fell down an embankment, and ended up overturned.
The victim was a resident of els Omellons. With this accident, the death toll from traffic accidents in Catalunya rises to 40 since the beginning of the year.

The causes of the accident are still under investigation. Patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra, personnel from the Bombers de la Generalitat, and SEM ambulances worked at the scene, but they could not save the driver.
