Civil Protection of the Generalitat maintains the Special Plan for Flood Emergencies of Catalonia, INUNCAT, on alert due to the forecast of intense rainfall in various parts of the territory, including L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
The activation arrives with a forecast of up to 40 liters per square meter in 30 minutes until Tuesday afternoon in regions such as Bages, Baix Llobregat, and Vallès Occidental, a threshold that concentrates the risk in urban areas and in riverbeds with the possibility of flash floods.

The Meteorological Service of Catalonia maintains the warning for the northeastern counties, Central Catalonia, and a large part of the pre-coastal and coastal areas. In this scenario, the showers may be accompanied by thunderstorms, local hail, and some strong gusts of wind.
Besides Bages, Baix Llobregat and Vallès Occidental, the forecast places the areas with the highest probability of affectation in the central pre-coastal region. There, the surroundings of Montserrat, Vallès and Baix Llobregat stand out.
Also Baix Empordà is among the points under surveillance, because a second nucleus of intense precipitation could form there.
The CECAT coordinates the device and Agents Rurals monitors the terrain
Faced with that meteorological evolution, the Generalitat has constituted the Emergency Committee and the Operational Coordination Center of Catalonia, the CECAT, to evaluate the situation and coordinate the response.
In parallel, the Cos d'Agents Rurals participates in the operation with surveillance and monitoring tasks on the ground, especially in rural and natural environment areas.
Civil Protection recommends avoiding rivers, streams, and ravines due to the risk of sudden floods. The warning affects municipalities in the metropolitan area such as L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and inland and coastal regions in the same band of instability.
