The remodeling works of Camp Nou continue to advance and FC Barcelona has already obtained the license to fully open the first and second stands of the stadium. The big pending front is now concentrated on the third stand, where the works face a decisive phase before the final stretch of the structural reform.

The third tier enters its final stretch

In the aerial images released by the club it can be seen that the third ring is almost finished. The prefabricated concrete pieces have already been placed almost entirely and only a few are missing in the South Goal area.

Once that placement is completed, the work will move to a new stage with conditioning and waterproofing tasks. Afterwards, the last phase of this grandstand will arrive, which will be the installation of the seats. It is expected that these works will be carried out during the coming months.

The reform will continue beyond the stands

The completion of the third tier will not mean the end of the stadium's renovation. The last major step of the reform will be the installation of the Camp Nou roof, an action that still requires more construction time.

The construction of the pillars that will have to support that roof has already begun, although its assembly is not planned until the end of the 2026 2027 season. The club's forecast is to take advantage of the competition break in summer to carry out that intervention.

The club considers adjusting the sports calendar

With that horizon, Barça is studying asking that the first matches of the 2027 2028 season be played outside Camp Nou. The objective would be to gain time to finish the works linked to the roof and thus complete the last phase of a remodeling that still faces several milestones before being considered closed.
