The Sónar festival will celebrate its 33rd edition from June 18 to 20, 2026, with a significant change in Barcelona. The event will debut a new direction, image, and format, and for the first time, will concentrate Sónar Día and Sónar Noche on a single stage within the Gran Via exhibition center.
The main novelty of the lineup is not only in the names but also in the disappearance of the separation between the festival's two major brands. The event is moving away from the scheme of differentiated venues and time slots to bring its main programming together in one space, while distributing other activities between Llotja de Mar and Fòrum.
Gran Via will host Sónar Día and Sónar Noche from June 18 to 20
The organization has set the dates between June 18 and 20, 2026, and is placing the bulk of the festival at the Gran Via venue. Some of the most prominent names of this edition will perform there, with The Prodigy, Kelis, Skepta, Charlotte de Witte, and Amelie Lens among the artists already announced.
Also featured in the lineup is Speedy J's STOOR project. The lineup thus combines profiles linked to large-scale electronic music with proposals that have had a history in sound experimentation and the club scene.
In addition to the usual season tickets, the sale incorporates new options. Attendees will be able to choose between SonarPass, SonarPass+D, the Weekend Ticket for Friday and Saturday, individual day tickets, and, as a novelty, exclusive passes to access only Sónar+D.
Fòrum will bring back Sónar Kids and Llotja de Mar will host Sónar+D
The Fòrum space will once again be part of the festival map with the return of Sónar Kids. This venue will be renamed Sónar District and will host three musical events within the 2026 edition's rollout.
In parallel, Sónar+D is changing its location and moving to Llotja de Mar. The event will be held on June 18 and 19 with immersive installations, digital art, and experiences focused on the intersection of creativity and technology.
The professional and thought leadership programming will bring together profiles from different fields. Among the announced participants are Eugene Healey, Yancey Strickler, niceaunties, Mónica Rikić, Daito Manabe, Google DeepMind, Mindy Seu, and Joana Moll.
With that distribution of venues, Barcelona will have a festival divided between Gran Via, el Fòrum, and la Llotja de Mar for three days. The most concrete detail of the new design is that Sónar+D will be concentrated over two days, June 18 and 19, and will have a specific ticket independent of the other formats.
