Jonathan Andic was released on provisional bail this Tuesday after depositing one million euros in bail at the Martorell courts, where he testified as a suspect for an alleged crime of reckless homicide in the death of his father, Isak Andic, founder of Mango. The businessman was arrested in the morning.
The case revolves around the death of Isak Andic in December 2024, when he fell down a ravine in Collbató during an excursion. The son of the Mango founder was released on the same day of his arrest, although the judge maintains precautionary measures and the investigation is no longer under seal.
The judge confiscated his passport and set weekly appearances
The magistrate ordered the confiscation of Jonathan Andic's passport, the prohibition of leaving Spanish territory, and the obligation to appear in court every week. The suspect's testimony before the judge also marked the lifting of the investigation seal.
The proceedings are being conducted for an alleged crime of reckless homicide. The arrest occurred on Tuesday morning and the court appearance was resolved hours later at the Martorell courts.
The family requested respect for the presumption of innocence
Family spokespersons and lawyer Cristobal Martell called for the principle of presumption of innocence to be respected as the investigation progresses. The case remains open after the businessman's son's judicial testimony.
Outside the courthouse, Jonathan Andic left the premises after 4:20 PM. He was released before 5:00 PM, after immediately paying the one million euro bail.
The investigation refers to the fatal fall of Isak Andic in Collbató during an excursion that occurred in December 2024.
