The Terrassa Municipal Police and the Guardia Civil deployed the Prembambas operation on May 20 against crimes against industrial property, belonging to a criminal group, and money laundering. The operation resulted in three arrests, three other people investigated, and the seizure of 2,345 counterfeit items valued at 2,314,625 euros.

The investigation began with neighborhood complaints about constant daily movement in one of the suspected residences. This coming and going of people, the usual unloading of boxes, and street sales coexisted with a volume of merchandise and money that led investigators to act simultaneously in several parts of Terrassa.

The operation searched two residences and three storage rooms in Terrassa

During the operation, officers simultaneously searched two homes and three storage rooms, in addition to inspecting several vehicles linked to the investigation. The municipal force participated in the property entries, secured traffic in the area, and was responsible for the transfer of the inspected cars.

Among the seized material were 1,099 pairs of sneakers and 800 badges of different brands, in addition to 70 handbags, 227 glasses, 53 clothing items, 57 pairs of socks, 18 sports insoles, six watches, and one wallet.

Officers also located five phones, four laptops, 12,130 euros in cash, and material for assembling counterfeit products. In one of the searches, a pellet gun was also found.

Neighborhood complaints pointed to daily street sales

The origin of the investigation was the public's reports about the activity that repeated every day in one of the investigated properties. The testimonies described a constant flow of people, the daily unloading of boxes, and the direct sale of products on the street.

This surveillance led to the joint operation against an alleged network linked to the distribution of counterfeit items. The case includes crimes against industrial property, belonging to a criminal group, and money laundering.

In addition to the arrests and charges, the operation resulted in a proposed sanction for one of the seized vehicles, which was parked on public roads without mandatory car insurance.

The three detainees were placed at the disposal of the Instruction Section of Court of Instruction number 4 of Terrassa.
