The Can Parellada Civic Center in Terrassa filled all its seats this Sunday with the performance of Desahuciadas, a play that sold out its capacity within the Escenes Locals cycle. The piece comes from Companyia8 de Teatre and sets its action in a post-industrial city recognizable to the local audience.
The tension of the play stems from five women placed in a critical situation in Terrassa, with precariousness and family breakdown as the axis of the narrative. This social starting point contrasts with the proximity aspect of the municipal program, which brings local productions to the different districts of the city.
The play places five women at the limit in a post-industrial Terrassa
The direction and dramaturgy are by José Antonio Aguado and Rosa Domènech. The cast includes Judith Cantón, in a proposal focused on the everyday impact of economic and family instability.
Far from being an isolated performance at the center, the show was held at Can Parellada as part of Escenes Locals, a cycle that distributes productions by city companies throughout the neighborhoods and facilities of Terrassa.
Escenes Locals will bring another performance to the Montserrat Roig Civic Center next Saturday
This Sunday's sell-out reinforces the audience's response to a program that seeks to bring local theater to different points in the municipality. Other proposals from local groups in the city's civic centers are part of the same circuit.
The next event in the cycle will be next Saturday with Diner (molt) negre, by El Social Grup Juvenil at the Montserrat Roig Civic Center.
