The Spring Festivals of L'Hospitalet kick off this Thursday, April 23, with the inaugural proclamation scheduled for 8:00 PM in the Town Hall square. The opening of the celebration will be led by the screenwriter and film director Marcel Barrena.

The event will mark the beginning of the 2026 edition of one of the outstanding events on the city's festive calendar. The proclamation will be held in the Town Hall square, central point of the official start of the festivities.

Barrena will be in charge of addressing the public at this opening. The filmmaker is known for having directed the film El 47, a work that has had an extensive run in the main awards of the sector.
The film won 5 Goya awards, 7 Gaudí awards and 2 Forqué awards, a track record that places the director as one of the outstanding figures in the recent audiovisual landscape and who will now assume the symbolic start of the Festes de Primavera in L'Hospitalet.
