The Guardia Urbana together with the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested five individuals yesterday after dismantling an organization dedicated to drug trafficking in Barcelona. The operation took place during the day on Wednesday, April 29.
Coordinated Raids in Sant Martí
Police forces executed simultaneous home searches in three homes located within the Sant Martí District. In these interventions, they managed to seize significant quantities of narcotics intended for retail sale.

During the investigations, they found one hundred and fifty grams of cocaine and twenty-one single doses of heroin. They also seized twenty-two thousand one hundred euros in cash, as well as precision scales commonly used to weigh small doses.
In addition to material related to illicit trafficking, agents recovered three firearms accompanied by ammunition. This finding confirms the potential violent character associated with this organized criminal activity.

Municipal sources indicated that these properties were recurrent sources of neighborhood unrest due to the constant presence of consumers and traffickers. The intervention seeks to restore tranquility to the neighborhood affected by years of illegal activities.
As a definitive measure against the recurrence of antisocial behavior at that specific point, the responsible technicians are already proceeding to physically seal the main dwelling used as the nerve center of clandestine commercial operations.
