A man was arrested after stabbing another person on the night of Friday, May 8, at number 15 of Carrer de la Marina, in the heart of the Vila Olímpica area. The events occurred at 10:30 p.m., very close to the Casino de Barcelona, and immediately mobilized the Guàrdia Urbana and the SEM.
The victim received a stab wound in the buttock area. The Medical Emergency Service (SEM) transferred her to a hospital center to receive urgent medical attention. Municipal officers went to the scene to provide first aid and secure the scene until the arrival of the investigators.
The Mossos take over the case and search for more involved parties
The Mossos d'Esquadra corps has taken over the investigation of the case. The agents are working on the premise that the altercation was not an isolated incident between two individuals, but that there was broader participation.

Four serious incidents in less than a month
The recent chronology shows a concentration of bloody events. On May 2, the Guàrdia Urbana arrested a minor accused of killing a man on C/ de la Cera, in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood. Barely twenty-four hours later, on May 3, another minor was injured by a knife in the Fòrum area.
Previously, on April 23, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a person accused of wounding another with a bladed weapon during a fight on carrer de la Diputació. Days earlier, on April 18, a 53-year-old man lost his life after being stabbed in a dispute in plaça de Meguidó, in Sant Genís dels Agudells.
