A fire at number 9 of Sant Bernat passage, in Raval, has forced emergency services to mobilize this Tuesday in a municipally owned building in Ciutat Vella. The fire broke out on the first floor of the property and has already been extinguished.
Fire in a building under construction
The flames have affected the first floor of a building that is undergoing rehabilitation to house a music school. Inside there was construction material, a fact that has marked the intervention of the personnel displaced to the property.
To the scene have attended 10 units of Barcelona Firefighters, who have worked to extinguish the fire and secure the area. The operation has focused on controlling the fire inside the property and checking the condition of the people who were in the affected area.
Three people rescued without serious injuries
During the emergency, three people have had to be initially confined inside the building and subsequently have been rescued. They have not suffered serious injuries and, in fact, no people affected by the fire are recorded.
Once the fire was extinguished, the emergency services have declared the situation stabilized in this municipal building in Raval, where rehabilitation works continue.
