Park Güell has launched this Easter Week the Green Pass, a new system that allows free entry to the site for people registered in Barcelona. The measure definitively replaces the Gaudir Més card and seeks to facilitate access for residents on days marked by a high influx of visitors.

The new pass is processed the same day through the official Park Güell website. To obtain it, you only need to verify the census with your ID and an email address. Once the process is completed, the user accesses an entrance exclusively reserved for Barcelona residents.

A specific access for residents in full tourist pressure

The launch of the Green Pass coincides with one of the moments of highest demand in the monumental enclosure. Holy Week is traditionally a period of intense tourist pressure and Park Güell is among the spaces where the volume of visitors increases the most. During these festive days, in fact, tourists continue to be the majority among the people who access the park.

The objective of the new system is to balance the coexistence between tourists and residents in a particularly sensitive enclave due to its popularity and due to the impact it has on the immediate surroundings.

Positive assessment among the users

The first assessments from those who have already used the Passi Verd point to a good reception. Users highlight its convenience, its speed, and the clarity of the process, especially for the possibility of resolving the reservation in a few minutes from the internet.

Easter Eggs among the columns of the Hypostyle Hall

Holy Week in Park Güell also incorporates an added attraction within the enclosure. Among the columns of the Hypostyle Room, 10 chocolate Easter eggs can be seen these days inspired by the Gaudinian universe.

The exhibition, under the title Gaudí in chocolate, brings together creations by 10 master pastry chefs who reinterpret forms, colors and symbolism of the park through the tradition of the Easter mona. The initiative coexists these days with the premiere of the new access system for residents, in a venue that once again places itself at the center of Barcelona's tourist activity during the holidays.
