Martí Casas will leave Reus Deportiu at the end of this season after three seasons at the club and with a high probability of joining Barça. The forward from Mataró announced his departure in a video broadcast through the club's official channels, recorded from the stands of the Palau d'Esports.
His farewell comes as the team remains alive in the fight for the OK Lliga and could secure a place in the semifinals this Saturday in Reus after winning the first game in Calafell with a hat-trick from him. At the same time, qualification remains pending the appeal filed by Calafell for a possible improper lineup related to Carles Casas' registration.
Martí Casas concludes three seasons after arriving from Calafell in June 2023
The forward ended his spell at Reus Deportiu with a personal message. In that video, he stated that saying goodbye to the club is not just closing a sporting chapter, but also leaving behind a very important part of his life.

Casas also recalled his arrival in the capital of Baix Camp with a one-year-old daughter and great enthusiasm. In his assessment of these three seasons, he maintained that the outcome, viewed with perspective, has been wonderful.
In his farewell, he also thanked the support received both inside and outside the locker room. He specifically mentioned his teammates, coach Jordi Garcia, and the fans for their backing in both good and bad times.
Reus faces the playoffs with 33 goals from their forward and awaiting an appeal
Casas' departure comes after a season with 33 goals in 40 official matches across the Lliga Catalana, OK Lliga, Copa del Rey, and WSE Champions League. Added to this performance is his role with the Spanish national team, with eleven goals in eleven games between the European Championship and the Montreux Nations Cup.
One of his most productive moments came in Calafell, where he was the top scorer of the 2025 Copa del Rey with nine goals. He also scored a hat-trick there in the first game of the playoff series that could now be decided at the Palau d'Esports.
If they win this Saturday, the team coached by Jordi Garcia will advance to the semifinals for the OK Lliga title. The tie, however, remains conditioned by the resolution of Calafell's appeal regarding a possible improper lineup related to Carles Casas's registration.
The farewell video ends with a brief phrase from the stands of the Palau d'Esports, as Martí Casas looks at the camera and says: "Reus, thank you for everything".
