The concerts by Bad Bunny scheduled for today and tomorrow in Barcelona have served as a lure for a scam campaign with fake tickets detected on the internet and social media. The Mossos d'Esquadra have warned that cybercriminals are using the pull of these two events to attract buyers with fraudulent offers.

The paradox is that the fraud imitates the very channels that should provide security to the public. Scammers impersonate Live Nation with emails that redirect to pages that copy legitimate purchase processes, while other attempts at deception circulate on TikTok through direct contact with users.

The police alert places one of the focuses on fraudulent emails that present themselves as if they came from Live Nation. The objective is to lead the victim to a website that appears to be a reliable sales channel and complete a supposed ticket purchase there.

In parallel, the fraud has also moved on social media. On TikTok, scammers contact users through private messages to negotiate ticket sales, a route that displaces the operation outside official channels and makes it difficult to verify if the offer is real.

The Mossos d'Esquadra have disseminated the warning on social media and ask for maximum caution with any unofficial offer related to the Barcelona concerts. The recommendation is to check the origin of the message and avoid any payment that arises from an unverified contact.

INCIBE frames the case within the increase in fraud due to major concerts

The National Cybersecurity Institute had already warned of campaigns of this type linked to major musical events. The case of the Bad Bunny concerts fits this pattern, with criminals taking advantage of high demand and buyer urgency to pass off fake tickets as authentic.

In addition to fraudulent emails, authorities insist on distrusting advertisements or proposals that arrive via social media or private messages. This recommendation applies to both offers with attractive prices and sales that appeal to the scarcity of tickets to accelerate the purchase decision.

To reduce the risk, the guideline repeated by police forces and cybersecurity organizations is a single one, buy tickets only through official channels and discard any transaction closed outside of those circuits.

The warning from the Mossos coincides with the concerts scheduled for today and tomorrow in Barcelona, two dates that scammers are using as a hook to move fraudulent emails and fake sales on TikTok.
