A man of about 30 years fell this Wednesday around 10:30 p.m. down the light well of a six-story building on carrer Major in Salt and had to be evacuated in serious condition to the Josep Trueta hospital in Girona.
The main mystery of the case remains open because there are no direct witnesses, the neighbors did not know him, and the injured man was not carrying identification when the emergency teams arrived. The Mossos d'Esquadra are currently investigating the fall as an accidental event and, initially, are ruling out any signs of foul play.
The injured man presented fractures and an open wound after the fall
Patrols from the Mossos d'Esquadra, officers from the Local Police of Salt, two units from the Bombers de la Generalitat, and three SEM units were dispatched to the building.
At the scene, paramedics treated the man for a possible fracture in his leg, wrist, and back, as well as an open wound. He was then transferred to the Josep Trueta hospital in Girona.
Sources from the operation indicated that the patient remains admitted in serious but stable condition and is showing favorable progress, with no risk to his life.

Now, the police investigation depends largely on the version that the injured man can provide, as it has not been possible to reconstruct the sequence with eyewitness accounts so far.
In the building on carrer Major, neighbors could not identify the man and could not provide information about his previous presence in the building. This lack of references, added to the absence of identification at the time of assistance.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are keeping the investigation open as an accident and, in this initial phase, are ruling out any signs of foul play.
